[Review] HOFFMAN SOLE MATE PEDALS
   by C900 | 16 Nov 2008 4:07 pm

I put these pedals on around a year ago, they look sweet, i have them in lime green. This review is for the standard 24.99 ones, not the expensive versions. They are reasonable light and obviously grippier than my standard complete pedals. They have held up well through my bike chucking stage and my grind learning. The paint has also worn slightly around the centre, but thats me being picky as it is isnt really noticable. The one problem i found is that when i was learning grinds, the outer pins wore down, somehow covering the allen key hole that was on top so i have been unable to change the worn down outer pins.

PROS
Lots of colours
Reasonably Light (Around 600 Grams For the Pair)
Ugraded Versions available
Strong
Replaceable pins

CONS
Very Square shape may not be of everyones taste
Side pins couldnt be changed once grinded
They are metal, seems most people go for plastics nowadays.
Paint slightly wares.

7.5/10
