[Review] Odyssey Jr Seat
   by Michael Hardman | 09 Jun 2006 5:40 pm

I was looking for a seat that I could slam to the ground to be out of the way when I'm doing my stuff yet still be comfy enough to sit on when coasting to and from places.  The Odyssey Jr seat looked like the ideal seat for me, so I had to give it a go seeing as it was so cheap and my other seat had bent rails and was missing most of the top.

I have to admit that I really do love this seat as it lived up to all my requirements, strong, small, light, out of the way yet still nicely padded and comfy.  I've had the seat for about two months now and I've not had to look at it since and I do have the odd big crash and tantrum and the seat is normally one of the things that suffers.  This is a really sleek looking seat and it's not too small that it looks totally out of place on a bike.

The seat comes in so many colours your bound to find one you like and those new fancy colours are plain shit, period.

Specs

  • Originally designed a mini race seat, but now riders wanting a small, light seat are starting to use this.
  • Alloy rails.
  • Light weight - only 166g.
  • Black/Red, Black/Blue, Black, Brown, White.

Summary

If you want something that is cheap and strong then you can't really go wrong with this seat.

Rating

I'd give this seat a 8/10 as I know its not going to be everyones cup of tea and some of the colours are pure gayness, but if you do want a seat that is small and strong then this could be the one for you. Cheap and cheerful lives on.

Cost: about £20
