After making some money working for a friend last fall, i bought these pedals since my stock unsealed ones werent cutting it and i kept losing those stupid 2mm allen pins. So for the price, I figured you couldnt beat sealed pedals with replaceable phillips pins for only 30 bucks. Heck all the hype about Jim C's and they were 2 bucks more and not even sealed. So I picked these bad boys up.

As for grip, these pedals grip really really good. If you do alot of tricks like turndowns, tables, etc where you need to keep your feet on the pedals, I would recomend these. A good feature is 6 pins on each side are replaceable, while 6 pins arent. It doesnt matter really, they wont break out. Oh yea, another plus is that they come with a bunch of free replacement pins, that was cool.

The only problem I encountered with these was that I bought them right when I started to learn pedal grinds. So I didn't run one for along time because i was running my old left pedal because I had no desire to ruin these right away (and of course these had pins that could not be taken out and those would make pedal grinds hard). Well naturally, the old pedal crapped the bed on me about 2 months ago so I have had to run my left mosh pedal without any replaceable pins in it, and only the ones you cant take out. so far from doing pedal grinds at the park on both sides of the pedal, only one of the non-replaceable pins broke off. Pretty impressive if you ask me, although I haven't and am afraid to do any hard pedal grinds when im riding street because of the pins being destroyed on the concrete, but its not the pedals fault. I should have thought ahead.

Pros:

• Cheap for a sealed pedal

Cons:

• 6 non-replaceable pins make it impossible to make the side of your pedal smooth if you want to do pedal grinds on rough surfaces, but they dont have alot of surface area either, implying thats not what they were designed for.

Rating

I give these pedals a 9/10, with one point off for the fact that you cant take out all the pins (which I know wouldnt bother most people because they dont do pedal grinds) like you can on Jim C's or Hamiltons.
