[Review] Snafu Concave Pedals
   by Charles | 22 Jul 2006 2:12 pm

Product Age: One year

These pedals are on the cheap side which is good for many seeking a decently crafted pedal for a decent price.

They are grippy pedals. For instance a lot of riders like to adjust and set their feet as they approach and obstacle or ramp, and with the narrow, pointy, pins on these it can be hard to move your feet around. They are also slightly less of a surface area (smaller) than say a Odyssey JC or Primo pedal.

It is of my liking that the pins are threaded in from beneath for if the pins wear down which they do fast on these pedals, then you can replace them unlike for example Primo Tenderizers.

The only thing I disliked about these pedals were the narrow pins, for they snap easily as well as kill your shins.

Other then that they hold up good!

Specs

  • Aluminum concave bodied pedal
  • 8 replacable pins per pedal.
  • Ball bearings
  • 9/16" chromoly spindles
  • Wight 22.6oz.
  • Comes in Black, Red, Green, and Yellow

Pros

  • Cheap
  • Good choice of colours
  • Replaceable pins
  • Good grip
  • Nice size platform

Cons

  • Pins snap too easily

Summary

O.K. pedals for the price

Rating

7/10.  Wider diameter pins would be more to my liking.

Costs about: $50 USD
