[Review] Macneil Capital and Post Combo
   by turndown | 16 Apr 2007 1:10 pm

I bought this post and seat off a kid for cheap and the post was modded to be slammed when I got it. It was also cut pretty short. Ive been running it for about 2 months now and I dont have any complaints really.

At first when I saw pics of the capital I didnt like it, but in person it looks alot better than I thought. Also the padding is really soft and the setup is foolproof. The weight i also a plus for many, but not a huge concern for me. The ONLY thing wrong that I found, was that the nose on the seat seemed to flex a bit. It was really only when I did it with my hands, but still seemed like it flexed rather easy. I dont run my seat high, or do many whips to frame, and unless you do either of those things, you should be just fine with this seat. (I have heard of them snapping, or maybe it was the sl?)

The post held perfect and everything as well. No complaints here.

Pros: light, cool looking, easy to set up

Cons: nose of seat flexes a bit.

Rating 9/10 for the seat flexing.

cost: About 25 USD for the post and about 26 USD for the Capital seat.
