So about 2 months back, I decided to upgrade my bike with some more current components, more specifically, micro-drive components.
One of those components would be the Redline XYZ Chaindisk


First look: At first glance, the rider will notice that this is a reasonably light 6mm thick chaindisk, with laser etched Redline insignia and CNCed grooves and holes, though the rider may seem to stray away from this chainwheel due to the Redline name. In an aesthetic point of view, in my opinion, this chaindisk looks quite nice.

Performance: I'm not too hard of a rider, but I won't deny that I might be harder on chaindisks than some other people, slipping out of feebles on concrete ledges, falling on the drive side, etcetera, but as far as I can see, there is almost, if not virtually, no wear on the chaindisk after hard (well, hard for me) riding.

Summary: With the advancement of BMX technology, smaller drive parts and such, every company is coming out with smaller chaindisks and cassette hubs, but this also puts a strain on the rider's wallet. If you're looking for a nice chaindisk with a nice pricetag, this would be a good choice for any rider, unless you choose to run a driver under 10t.
