[Review] Sun Big City Rim
   by whaaaa | 10 Nov 2007 2:56 pm

This rim... is INDESTRUCTABLE... period.

supposedly before i got it second hand off a local dude for 20 bux, said it went through a couple more people before him. so at first glance i was confident it would be a good rim to go through a few people and wind up with only some scratches and chips in the rim. when i got it laced to my shadow v1 hub thanks to my best bud, it was the best thing i ever had on my bike.

the walls of the rim arent to tall. so dont expect to use to tall side brake pads. the chrome never flaked off, only in a certain place or two, but it stayed chrome for the most part. it wasnt the shiniest chrome but it was chrome nonetheless. it had some scratches along side it too. it didnt bother me at all. and when i ran brakes the chrome didnt work as i thought it would. but later i found that salmon/red pads work best on the rim.

its a cheap rim today too. i got it for 20 used, and you can get a new one for about 50 or less dollars. (US)

a little on the heavy side, but all that weight lead to an indestructable rim. and i am not a smooth rider to say the least either.

had a pic of the scratches and flaked areas, but you cant really see them in the picture. so i didnt bother uploading it.

9.5/10 because its on the heavy side. but still a good rim.
