[review] odyssey director forks
   by jakallen1990 | 08 Jan 2008 9:35 pm

Ok, I must admit when I first saw these forks I hated them... I’m not sure why but I’m assuming its because its a look I wasn’t used to, but with a bit of time I read up on them and realised how great they were and slowly grew to like how they look, so much so I bought them!!.

They are super light (1 lb. 15.6 oz. (895.8g) with uncut 170mm steerer tube and pre-load bolt. :O) and the fork is supposedly stronger than traditional design, they have a rust proof finish prior to spraying which keeps them looking smooth and clean.

if you’re worried about how they feel then stop worrying as I can honestly say the feel IDENTICAL to regular forks, the geometry works out the same!

having said that I get allot of 'hey mate you bent your forks' and have to try and explain how they’re offset to match regular geometry.... it gets annoying.

PROS
1. super light compared to regular forks
2. stronger than regular forks
3. direct legs prevent rail and grind hang-ups.
4. excellent finish
5. they’re different!!!!!
6. nice looking stickers but ones that peel of easily if not wanted.

CONS
1. 'hey mate your forks are bent' gets a bit annoying after a while
2. looks don’t suit every ones taste
3. only available in black and white at the moment

so to sum up you either love them or hate them but you cant deny the advantages they offer.
but like I said they aren’t bent!
