When I first saw the ltf I immediately noticed the dropouts, I thought how big they looked and i realised that s&m dropouts were never their strong point when it came to looks. but when i got the frame i was pleasantly surprised to see how small the actually were!

The frame is extremely light at only 4.2 pounds!

The finish on the frame was very good and felt super smooth due to the Electroless nickel plating technique they use, this method also saves allot of weight according to s&m. but...despite phoning s&m with a problem they had not prior experience of I realised that my previously black frame was slowly going a little bit green in certain light.. hmmm so if I get it re-sprayed it will defeat the whole object of the finish!

On a better note the tapered chainstays and tapered seatstays which are bullet nosed at the dropout end looked great!!! and the decorative seatstay bridge finished off the rear triangle!

The frame comes stickered (which can be peeled off easily enough) but has a detailed s&m crest etched onto the headtube, the letters LTF on the bottom of the bb shell and under the headtube end of the downtube, this detail and quality reflects the effort put into this frame.

I also noticed the seat tube has been tapered to save weight, this looks great in my opinion but also forced me to cut down my macneil stump to be able to slam it! On the other hand forcing me to save a bit more weight is never bad lol.

PROS
1. super light at only 4.2lbs!!!

3. available in brakeless and with brakes
4. great looks in my opinion.

1. paint is fading!!!!!!!!!

To sum it all up, apart from the paint dilemma the frame is great! I have had no problems and feels great to ride id strongly recommend it!
