[Review] 36h Odyssey Hazard Lite Rear Wheel
   by zacaroo | 15 Jan 2008 3:24 pm

Well I purchased this wheel second hand 4 months ago and it has been fairly good to me. The problems I have encountered have been spokes coming loose fairly often until I overtightened them to combat this problem but I have since snapped a spoke because of it. The wheel was in good condition when I brought it. I paid $180 AUSTRALIAN for it, which was like $140 AUSTRALIAN below RRP. I can see myself using this wheel until it becomes unrideable as it is bulletproof. It being 36h was a little concern to me as I try some large gaps and most of the time come up short first go and case. I have cased alot on this rim and it has not dented or got a flat spot. The previous wheel I rode was a single wall 48 and I never dented or flat-spotted that either. The chrome is still in good condition - no flaking. I am no weight whore so I think it is not too heavy or anything. Overall I give this wheel set-up 9/10.

PRO'S
* Reliable
* Affordable
* Triple wall rim
* You can get a 48h version
* Numerous other compatable hub parts
* Hard to get flat spots

CON'S
* Weight whores may think it's a little heavy
* Spokes come loose easily
* Overtightening leads to snapping spokes on cases
