[Review] Premium Products Complete Three Ring
by Ride For Pain | 17 Mar 2008 10:07 pm

Hi, this is my first review so take it easy on me .

• Full Chromoly Frame w/20.8” TT.
• Full Chromoly Fork and 8” Bars.
• 36h Alloy Sealed Bearing wheelset w/Rear Cassette Hub including 1pc Driver.
• Alienation Rims w/Hi polished Rear.
• 28/10 gearing.
• Premium 120psi Tyres.
• Pivotal Seat/Seatpost System.
• 175mm Chromoly Cranks w/48spline.
• Premium Sub 10 Stem w/Hollow Bolts.

The Review!

My first impression was, wow, this bike's light. Then it was wow, these bars are heavy. The components were disappointingly heavy. But this isn't such a problem because the frame and wheels were light, the cassette engaged amazingly after a clean out. Alienation rims were light and seem to be holding well. Single walled front and a double walled rear. Tyres were heavy but grippy, 2.25 front and a 2 rear, but they seem to be identical widths. The brakes and grips how ever were unbelievably disappointing.

Premium have gone for trend over function. with the 8" bars and the pivotal seat setup.

Pro's:

Good Components (everything you need for this trend ridden world).
28-10 gearing
1 piece driver.
complete weight is lightish.
Pivotal Seat/Post.
Stem.

Con's
Heavy components.
Gone a bit too much for tend over function.
Headset cracked after a week.
Brakes were awful.
Standard wellgo molded pedals.

Score

All together i'll give it an 8/10 Would be a 9 if the brakes were better.

C&C IS APPRECIATED!

Thanks, Alex.
