Odyssey Hazard cassette hub review
   by Nick Afanasiev | 13 Aug 2005 12:54 pm

The Odyssey Hazard cassette hub comes in black, gray, or red. It comes with 4 free cogs (12, 13, 14, and 16 tooth). You can choose left (lhd) or right (rhd) side drive. It comes in both 36 and 48 spoke hole. It is only 19.7 lbs. without a cog. The hub has a 6061 aluminum shell, 4 pawl driver, 4130 chromoly hardware, and a hollow 14mm axle. You can get yourself one of these for about $89.99, which is cheap for a cassette hub.

I got the Odyssey Hazard cassette hub in black, lhd, 48 hole, about 8 months ago. I've been using it for dirt, street, skatepark, and flatland. The hub held out super good. I love this hub because it is really light and strong. It has never came out of adjustment and I haven't had to tighten it once. The axle is really strong, and the hollow middle helps save some weight. I have been grinding almost every day and it never bent (even from grinding cement ledges at full speed). The flanges are also a great size to fit anybody's riding style.

I cannot say a single negative thing about this hub, it's just perfect. It's the best hub I've ever used and I am sure that everyone will love it, no matter what, or how you ride.

Pros:
+ many choices (color, drive side, spoke holes)
+ 4 free cogs to choose from
+ lightweight
+ strength
+ stays adjusted.

Cons:
- none

I rate this hub 10/10 and strongly suggest that you get it.

Costs: about $90USD
