[Review] FBM midget stem
   by old_school_goose | 15 Sep 2005 8:38 am

colors: black anodized
weight: 12.6 ounces
reach: 40mm
rise: 10 mm
bottle opener: no
CNC machined 6061 aluminum
made in New York

the stunted version of the bottleneck, is a great reliable stem. i've rocked it for about 9 months after my haro bit the dust. i decided to try a shorter reach stem, as i like my bars a bit closer and lower. i flipped it, dropped it by 2 spacers and i found the perfect feel, much better then stock.

absolutly no slips, even on new bars. no stripped threads, and no sharp edges. a few weeks i layed my bike down coming down from a pipe, and it slid on the side of the stem, giving it a bit of a gash. besides that cosmetic slip, its been great! a bit on the expensive side, as its about 5 bucks more then other stems, but its FBM, its for a good cause! 10/10.

Costs: about $90 USD
