[Review] Odyssey Mr Clampy Seat Clamp
   by Michael Hardman | 18 Mar 2006 1:10 am

Yes its a seat clamp, so why review it, its not much is it, wrong it holds your seat in place, where would you be without your seat, impailed in the bike I expect.  Damm this i s a nice seat clamp to look at, simple design that is tight fitting and has tonnes of clamping force to hold your seat nicely inplace.  Its light aswell, I haven't weighed it and can't find any weights but it can't be more than 30 grams and then theres the option of a Ti upgrade for the bolt to save some more grams for the terminally weight obsessed out there.  Did I mention it comes with replaceable hardware so if you strip a bolt not a problem the bolt pops out and you can put a new one in there.

Specs

  • Small.
  • 2014 AL
  • Replaceable hardware to prevent stripping.
  • Black.
  • Fits all frames with 28.6mm outside diameter

Summary

  • Cheap
  • Good design
  • Good looking
  • Light
  • Indestructable

Cost

£5 for the seat clamp and an optional £1.5-3 for the Ti bolt upgrade, which is still cheaper than most seat clamps.

Rating

Rarely do I give anything full marks but this deserves it, so low and behold 10/10.
