[Review] Odyssey Skim Milks
   by Intrikat | 03 Jul 2006 7:46 am

As my first review here I thought I'd share my best buy so far with you - Odyssey Skim Milk bars. Heat-treated 4130 chromo, super narrow so you can run brakes without puting them on the bend. They're also super light, mine cut down weigh around 650 -700 grams. The most annoying thing about them is if you have wide shoulders and when you try to bunnyhop with them, then you'll find it really awkward, so if you have wide shoulders  DO NOT buy Skim Milks! as they just wont feel rightI.  However if you're the Ryan Niquist type of barspinning person I guarantee that you will fall in love with the Skim Milks just becasue there so narrow you can spin the bars and they will never hit your knees.. Another guarantee you recieve is Odyssey's LIFE TIME WARRANTY against bending/breaking their bars.

Specs

  • Rise7.25"
  • Width 25"
  • 41 Thermal tubing
  • 0.65" tubing thickness

Pros:

  • Light
  • Strong

Cons:

  • Doesn't suit everyone

Summary

A cheap reliable bar that won't break and if it does you get a new one quibble free.

Rating

I'll give these babies 9/10 because they're really nice bars with perfect geometry but they're not made to fit the average taste. You're either a Skim Milk person or not.

Costs: about $50 (USD)
