[HOWTO] Disaster in Quarterpipe
   by DesiDeraDa | 23 Jul 2005 8:53 pm

Trick Description
A disaster on a quarterpipe is a 180, but you land with your front tyre in the transition and your rear tyre on the deck, and then bunnyhop back into the ramp.

HOWTO:

Try to find a nice Ramp you like and also try some basic 180 before to get a feeling for it.
The Ramp should not be too steep.

Head to the jump at the same speed as doing a 180 which would be your own comfortable speed.

Then, you jump out of the ramp and start airing:

In the air you spin your bike 180 degrees, what you should already induce at the jump.

Now it would be the perfect time to add combination-tricks like Barspins, Crankflips etc.

Time to Start Preparing for landing

Only your front tyre lands in the transition and your rear tyre on the dec.
Your sprocket probably makes a noise when you land - That's ok ;)

Nearly finished....
What we still have to do is to get the rear-tyre over the coping back into the ramp.
That's something I can't explain, you can also pratice this part on the street. I'm sure you'll figure out how to this after a very short time.
