Macneil Capitol Combo Seat
   by Matt1991 | 24 Jul 2005 5:20 pm

I bought this seat at nass at the beginning of the month as my pentagon seat was torn, rusted and i felt like treating myself. After riding is for 2 weeks ive already put it through alot of abuse. (Bails, standing it upside down for repairs, etc, etc) And its already scratched! (alot quicker than my pentagon). The only setup problem ive been encountering is than its quite frequently come loose (The top bolt in the seat) And started to rattle and shake. But now ive tightened it up slightlymore and it seems to be holing up well.

Anyway, enough of the negative! It was super easy and fast to set-up and is extremely comfortable, aswell as that, its very light, (just over a pound, half the weight of a normal seat setup). Considering its revolutionary design its still the same price as a conventional seat setup.

Heres a picture:

: : One bolt holds everthing together with easy access through the seat pad.
: : No rails to bend or twist.
: : Theres no ugly hardwere showing.

Pros:
+ Light.
+ Comfortable.
+ Easy to setup.
+ The same price as a conventional seat + post.

Cons:
- Top bolt loosens frequently.
- Weaker material than some seats.
