[Review] Shadow Conspiracy Belter Tire
   by rideohio | 25 Aug 2006 4:07 pm

I bought this tire 7 or 8 months ago intending to use it as my front tire for lots of park, some street, and very little dirt. When it arrived at my doorstep, the first thing I noticed was how thin the sidewalls were. From the pictures, I thought this tire (2.10") was going to be a thick and tough tire. But I went back and checked and saw that it was one of the lightest tires you can buy.

It only comes in black, goes to 85 PSI (though I ran mine at 90-95), and the 2.10 weighs only 21 oz while the 1.95 weighs 23.9 oz.

After putting it on and pumping it up without any problems, I rode it for 5 months without any problems whatsoever. I didn't ever have to put more air in it and I didn't have any flats. I then rode 2-3 months with pegs. This is where my last tire crapped the bed, as I tore the sidewall while using pegs in the mini. Well I did plenty of that and the tire still rode like the day I got it.

Pros:

-Doesn't slip, even though it's a dirt tire.
-Very light.
-Doesn't lose air.

Cons:
-The thin sidewalls made me nervous with pegs.
-Feels very slow with a slick tire on rear.

Overall: 9/10

Costs: $16 USD
