Sun BFR Rim (Chrome)

I first decided to get a new rim when my stock mongoose one dented and egged (Among other things). SO after looking around for a while i found the Sun BFR, i chose this over the others rims because its light and very affordable. So when it arrived in the post a few days later i was very excited, one of my first customisations on my first bike! After getting it installed i immediatly noticed the increase in the brake power, i could stop much easier and felt alot more comfortable on my bike. However afer a while the faults started to kick in...it flaked. Day after day id notice that my rim was becoming very patchy and not working aswell, this came to the point where i could see and hear the chrome flaking as i pulled the brakes. Now, i didnt take very good care of my bike back then , i left it in the rain, threw it about and disrespected it, so when the time came to replace my back wheel, i decided to get this rim again and to look after it better. It started off great, good braking light, and supposedly strong. But it had started to flake again (Even though it hadnt been weather damaged atall). But it came to a head today when i decied to learn tailwhips on quarters, i was coming just short of the spin and a few time the wheel landed sideways. As i pedalled away from the ramp i noticed that the pedalling was feeling strange so i stopped and spun the wheel and to my horror there was a very strong buckle in the rim. Now my brakes dont work very well atall and are also very uncomfortable to pull the lever. I am now very dissapointed with this rim as it has let me down alot through its useage. I would give it a very poor rating on 4/10
