[Review] United Squad Bars
   by ATP | 12 Feb 2007 4:53 pm

Well, I bought these a bit before Christmas, and they come in a nice box that looks like this:

The first thing I noticed was how thin the tubing was on the bars, and how light they were. But when you throw the lifetime warranty into the mix, that just makes you love them so much more. They weigh in at roughly 23.5oz and feel like air compared to my old Fit S1 bars. The paint is nice and shiny, black, if you were wondering what color. I have seen the white ones too, they looked nice as well. They have cool looking stickers too, a UNITED brand logo, and a sticker with an artistic style showing the geometery of the bars. Mine are the 7.75"/25.4" and they are perfect if you like something in-between narrow and slam sized. They didn't cost too much either, about the same as every other set of bars on the market. As for getting grips on, was;t hard at all. I put a dab of rubbing alcohol around the inner part of each grip (Fly Rubens) and they slid right on, dried up and there is not any throttle. The knurling is also solid when they are fresh out of the box, I have not had to adjust my bars on my stem (Animal) once since they've been on.

I have not had them very long yet, but in a couple moths I'll be sure to update this with how they are holding up.

PROS:
-Not anymore than average price. ($59.99)
-Light
-Lifetime warranty
-3 different size options (7.5/24.5,7.75/25.4,8.00/27.3)
-They look damn good.

CONS:
None so far, will update later in the summer.

Overall: 9/10
