[HowTo] Make A Headset Dust Cover

i searched an didnt see this made before so here you go...


items you will need:

1. an old tube(most likely popped)
2. either a good pair of scissors or a utility knife(box cutter)
3. enough know how to disasemble (and reassemble ) the front end of your bike

steps to go about makeing and installing the dustcap:

1:dissassemble the front end of your bike completeley.



2:cut the tube as shown in picture



3: make a similar cut about and inch and a half further down the tube. your should end up with something like this:



4:strech the piece of tube you just cut off onto the bottom cup (or whatever its called on the integrated frames) make sure it is not hanging over the edge of the cup



5: now put on the forks.

6: pull the bottom half of the dustcap down, so its half on the bottom cup and half on the top of your forks. it should look like this:
