[Review] Demolition Anorexia Cassette Hub

well i traded a profile wheel back in august for a demolition annorexia cassette wheel.

it came with an 11tooth driver, after taking out the rim i later replaced it with a balance rim which now is dead.

well basically this hub worked so well, it was smooth had a pretty average engagement.

its not the lightest of hubs, i thought it was rather heavy.
the reverse threads were superb, if you grind on the left id get a hub with reverse threads it makes it so much easier, not having to tighten up bolts again.

but when i was rebuilding it onto a new hazard light rim i noticed what appeared to be a crack all the way around the hub. so i ended up purchasing a new wheel.

well today i sold the brand new hazard light rim i was going to use on this hub and i inspected the hub it was in good nick apart from the shell being cracked, the axel was in perfect condition, the driver was in good working order. but i took the cone nuts off slid the axel out only to find my cassette hub split into 2.

another bad thing was, on the driver side, the original nut cracked so i replaced it with a better one.

the flanges were also easily damaged due to grinding. cones came loose quite often also.

The good stuff

  • pretty decent cassette
  • nice engagment
  • Reverse thread is the greatest invention
  • One of the cheaper cassettes out

cons
  • After only 7 months it cracked open and split
  • not the lightest hub.
  • the flanges bent in easily.
  • cones come lose easily
