[Review] Maxxis Maxx Daddy tyre
   by Dylan Haro | 31 Mar 2007 8:03 pm

I have been running this tyre since about August last year and it still looks brand new (apart from dirt of course).

Specs

Bi-Directional knobbly design - ideal for Dirt and Street riding.
Max 40 PSI
Comes in 20" x 1.85" and 2.25"
450 grams

I am running a 2.25" on the back at the moment and am loving it on dirt. It's not as good on the front but love it on the back because you have more control over manuals and street tricks. They grip really well and obviously the bigger you buy the more grip you get. They have the perfect tread for slamming your foot into when doing your front wheel moves, which is something that you look for in a front tyre.

Pros

Light
Very grippy
Long lasting
Soft compound
Cheap
Absorbs impact well

Cons

Sidewalls suffer from punctures

There isn't really much to fault about this tyre apart from the sidewalls

Rating

9/10
As they are light, grippy and absorb impact VERY well but sidewalls are thin and suffer from punctures.

Cost

Around $12.99 US
