[HowTo]Custom Valve Caps
   by AndreDew | 22 Sep 2007 1:38 pm

Ok so you will need:
-a regular valve cap
-an object of your choice (I used a dice for this how to)
-a screwdriver (preferably one that you are not very attached to, since it will get kind of ruined in the process)
-knife
-superglue
-fire source
-sandpaper
-a file

1. Take the knife and cut a bit of the valve cap (like in the next picture). This step is not necessary if the object is bigger than the valve.

you will obtain something like this:

2. Now you have to be extra careful. Take the screwdriver and place it over the fire source so that it gets hot. Like this:

3. After the screwdriver gets very hot (should be about 5 minutes, no, don't test it with your hand), poke the object in the place you want the hole to be (obviously). Don't burn yourself, I did it for you.

Poke around and widen the hole until its large enough to place the original valve cap inside.

4. Use sandpaper to get rid of the excess melted plastic around and inside of the hole. Put superglue in the hole and put the valve cap inside the hole like this:

Let it dry

If you did everything correctly, you should be able to screw it onto your valve.

I'm not responsible for burn wounds, sticky fingers or any other sort of injury that you may receive while trying to make custom valve caps.

This will probably seem pointless to some, but I couldn't care less. Enjoy!

Oh and sorry for the crappy pictures. The digital camera was unavailable so i had to use my phone...
