[Review] Fly Ruben tire Callejera
   by whaaaa | 04 Nov 2007 2:06 pm

Ruben has a number of products named after him, and for good reason too... that dude is crazy... (Etnies video where he wallrides over that giant cement overhead pass....)

and his tyre is awesome as well too.

when I first bought it for about 20 dollars, I vowed to skid no more, if not only a little bit.

I never kept true to that promise .

But even so the tyre barely wore out. I mean of course in the pic you'll see a hefty bald spot, but please consider. I ran this in the rear for a LONG time now.. probably nearly a year if I had to guess. and in that time I can honestly say that I have never lost grip in that tire. so much, that a few beginner kids were complaining that it was TOO grippy (if there is such thing) I got the 2.0 size, and the tyre would rub against the ledge I would grind, and the sidewalls NEVER showed any signs of wear... and I have grinded a few nasty ledges too. I usually kept it pumped to about 90-100 psi, or maybe a little less. as for weight, idk. I never noticed a real change in weight when I changed tyires, only grip.

get one while its hot! (Note: this is not the foldable ones that have come out recently)
