[review] sunday triumph bars
   by jakallen1990 | 20 Jan 2008 12:07 am

Well I noticed the recent trend of 'big bars' so thought seeing as I had a bit of money at the time I'd give them a go! Well I don’t regret it!

The Sunday triumph bars are extremely light for 28" wide bars at 700g!
at first I thought they looked huge! especially as I got them in white. I thought this looked pretty cool but I also thought that they’d be more a fashion statement than function.. as usual I was wrong I soon got used to them and now would never go back! I also realised how easy it was to Manuel and how stable I felt which gave me a little more confidence!

Only two things that I was bothered about; I had to say bye bye to learning barspins, the fact that I found them hard on narrower bars wasn’t aided by my new bars at all. Also due to the backsweep (which feels great) as a mate fell off my bike the shoulders of the bars scratched... badly and have been getting worse ever since.. I can't say it bothers me now but I thought id mention it.

spec:
8" RISE
28" WIDE
12 DEGREE BACKSWEEP
1 DEGREE UPSWEEP

PROS
1. lightweight for big bars
2. look awesome on me bike in my opinion
3. wider feel is nice for manuals
4. good finish!
5. they’re trendy

CONS
1. big feel wont suit everyone
2. the scratch issue I mentioned earlier
3. they’re trendy

All in all I think you like big bars or you don’t.. but if you do these are an awesome choice!

rating: 9/10
