[review] maxxis miracle tyre
   by gregor | 22 Jan 2008 4:58 pm

ok this is my second review so im going to give it a crack

the maxxis miracle tyre

I chose my maxxis tyre for street riding and I have had it for about 7 or 8 months now. It's only just starting to wear enough to lose a bit of grip. I run no back brakes so a have been using my shoe to stop.

Over all I found it to be a good hard wearing tyre that lasts a long time with a high PSI rating off 110.

It comes in sizes of 1.85, 2.10 and 2.25 I think.

If you are anything like me (I had to get better rim tape as mine was quite thin and I only have single wall rims right now) then you would have to buy some better quality rim tape to hold a higher pressure to reduce the risk of flats.

Besides the rim tape the only other tiny problem I can think of is when rocks get stuck in the tread easily and chip the back of the frame, but as I said this is a minor problem.

Pros
good quality tyre
cheap
long lasting
come in wire beaded or foldable
come in different sizes

Cons
rocks getting caught and chipping frame
better quality rim tape needed?
and that's all I can think of

overall i would give this tyre an 8.5/10 and would recommend it.
