Odyssey 13t Freewheel

A while back I got this nifty little RHD 13t cog on my bike. I decided I'd ride left hand drive, as I was going to get myself a set of a new cranks for my pretty new bike, and a LHD freewheel. I ran my bike with a LHD 13t for about a week and a half, and it started making funny noises. I assumed it was the hub, so I took my hub apart and check the bearings - nothing wrong. About 4 days after it started making noises, my LHD freewheel's pawls go to hell and send me over the bars. After that, I switched back to the RHD cassette that came with my bike, this one lasts about 3 weeks, starts making noises, and then goes out a few days later.

Pros
  • If you don't have the money for a cassette
  • Able to run RHD or LHD
Cons
  • Not Very Reliable
  • Needs a F/F hub
  • You might end up getting a cassette anyways
  • Over the bars sucks

Conculsion
  • I wouldn't waste my time with it again, if I wanted a F/F, I'd get an ACS, I've never blown one up, or seen
  • one blown up not saying it can't be done, but it's not worth it, or I'd just skip the f/f thing and get a cassette
