[Review] Avid speed dial 7 lever
   by KerFuffler | 04 Sep 2008 3:26 pm

Avid speed dial 7 lever

Although primarily a MTB lever, this can still be run on BMX as its still a standard cable lever.

To start these levers a fairly light, weighing in at 155g while feeling very sturdy. The lever it self is of a very ergonomic design, and while being bent in a two=finger orientated style, can still be operated with one providing the brakes are set-up well.

£14.99 / Pair

Another nice feature of this lever is the 'Speed dial' adjusting the rebound and general fell of the lever, very handy so you can make it loser for one finger or tigher for two etc . . .
I have been running these levers for around two months now, one on a matching Avid 7 V brake (Perfectly matched braking heaven on the trials) and a Salt U brake.
To sum it up, I dont think this will suit the general street/park rig, due to it being quite large but it would be perfect for BMX race, Especially matched with the V brake which I am not reviewing Although simply outstanding!

6/10 for Park/Street
9/10 for race

Pros

-Light
-Cheap
-Great controll
-Fell good

Cons

-Come in pairs
-Quite large
